The Government has agreed to declare Caramelles del Roser of Sant Julia de Vilatorta as a heritage festival of national interest, as well as sign the declaration festive element of national heritage Heritage Holiday Catalogue of Catalonia.
Caramelles were born in the late sixteenth century and Sant Julia de Vilatorta have survived in their original form. Thanks to clothing, intervention and instrumental music very very popular, as well as the fact of being transmitted from generation to generation without interruption makes them worthy of being declared a heritage festive element of national interest. This provides Decree 389/2006 of 17 October, the festive heritage of Catalonia.
The purpose of this agreement is to ensure the preservation of government, protection and promotion through a special recognition of the Caramelles del Roser of Sant Julia de Vilatorta as a manifestation of Catalan traditional culture and roots of special relevance and adequar- the categories stipulated in Decree 389/2006 of 17 October, the festive heritage of Catalonia.
